Alex Stanciu is an experienced ear and throat nurse-clinician, with over 22 years of experience. Alex’s pioneering work in the field of aural microsuction began in 1999 with the establishment of nurse-led microsuction clinics at the Royal National Ear Nose and Throat Hospital in London, and then, later, in the north-west London network hospitals (Barnet, Edgware, Royal Free and Finchley Memorial). Since then, Alex has trained hundreds of nurses and audiologists in the correct and safe application of the aural microsuction procedure.
Alex can also treat a variety of other ear conditions, including ear infection, mastoid cavity clearance, foreign body removal and the microsuction of ears with perforated ear drums. He can also perform microsuction on co-operative children from 3-4 years of age onward.
Alex is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK, and holds an ENB certificate in ENT nursing, and a BSc degree in professional practice.
Alex is an Associate Consultant with Hearology, and his regular clinic times are Monday and Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm.
